The reason I call these Magic Cream Biscuits is because the ease and short time it takes for them to come together is truly magical. With just three ingredients, no resting time, and a quick bake in the oven, you’ll have fresh, flaky, warm biscuits for your family to enjoy any day of the week!
Ingredients:
2 c. self-rising flour, plus more for dusting
1 T. sugar
1.5 c. heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Mix all ingredients together in large bowl just until a loose dough forms
Turn out the dough onto a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour
Knead dough until it can be brought together in a mound
Roll dough with rolling pin until it has reached about 1/2″ thickness, then cut into biscuits using 3″ biscuit cutter
*Note: If you don’t have a biscuit cutter, you can use anything you can find with a hollow circular shape- a small bowl, a glass, etc.
Place the biscuits onto prepared pan and bake at 450 degrees for 7-10 minutes, until golden brown
Serve with butter, jam, honey, or anything else that sounds delicious! I like to cut them in half and fill them with a fried egg, bacon and avocado. Yum!!
Makes about one dozen
Keep the remaining biscuits (if there are any!) in a tightly sealed container at room temperature for up to three days. They can be easily reheated in the toaster or microwave.
